Introduction: Personal Pronouns

A Pronoun is a word that is used in place of a Noun.

Before we start on these concepts, look at these examples below:

In this example, the personal pronoun \”he\” is used to replace and refer to the proper noun “John.”

Two more examples show the same pattern:

In this example, the personal pronoun \”she\” is used to replace and refer to the proper noun “Maria.”

In this example, the personal pronoun \”it\” is used to replace and refer to the common noun “This phone.”
